  • Position Description: Lincoln County Child Advocacy Center
  • Part Time Staff Assistant

  • General Responsibilities Provide support to the direct service staff of the Child Advocacy Center (CAC) and is responsible for the smooth and efficient operation of the Center on a regular basis. This position performs general clerical duties and serves as the receptionist for the agency. This is a part time, hourly position working under the direction and supervision of the LCCAC Executive Director.

  • Receptionist
  • Answers and routes telephone calls including voice mails.
  • Provides back-up to interview specialist in scheduling forensic interviews and medical evaluations at the CAC.
  • Welcomes and assists at the CAC.
  • Supervises children at the CAC.
  • Prepares and distributes mail.
  • Receives general walk in donations including completing the donor card and following up with thank you notes.
  • Support Staff and Team Members
  • Assures the smooth daily operation of the center by replenishing forms and interview aids in the interview room and form racks; restocking the refrigerator, snack containers, all paper product holders, soaps, etc.
  • Assembles and maintains case files.
  • Assists with special projects.
  • Coordinates the transcription of medical reports and provides the completed
  • report to the referring agency in a timely manner.
  • Works with Microsoft Outlook on email and calendar issues, coordinating and updating calendars with staff and team members, assist staff with access to
  • NCATrack; responsible for maintenance of agency computers to include defragging and updating virus protections.
  • General Duties
  • Routinely inventories and orders supplies and keeps equipment in working order including copy machine, recording equipment, and medical exam room camera system.
  • Assist with the performance of general household duties including taking out garbage, shredding documents, and keeping visitor areas clean and in neat order, cleaning restrooms and wiping down surfaces.
  • Maintains and updates NCA Track.
  • Mails and compiles Parent Surveys, MDT Surveys, and Client surveys data.
  • Document all services provided to clients according to agency requirements and guidelines.
  • Participates in educational experiences as requested by program director.
  • Deliver and pick up mail, medical documents, transcripts, or other documents as needed for center use.
  • General typing and dissemination of written reports, dictation, or documentation of center and multi-agency needs to include agenda items, letters of correspondence, etc.
  • Qualifications This position requires a high school diploma, associate degree in office management preferred.

  • Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities
  • Knowledge of basic computer skills including Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge and skills in general office management.
  • Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with co-workers and team members.
  • Ability to be a self starter who is able to turn thoughts into actions and does not need to be prompted to complete a task or assignment on time.

  • Physical Requirements The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee must occasionally be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk and walk and hear.

  • Other Must be at least 21 years of age. Must access to a vehicle; possess a valid driver's license and proof of insurance. Must submit to a through criminal history background check annually. Must read, understand, and comply with all confidentiality agreements, and organizational policies and procedures.

  • Employment LCCACA Executive Director, and LCCACA Personnel Committee shall interview candidates, and upon the recommendation to the Director and approval of LCCACA Board majority vote an offer will be extended.

  • Termination Child Advocacy Center Director shall recommend to the LCCACA Executive Director and LCCACA Board, who shall terminate with or without cause, with approval of LCCACA Board majority vote and the action followed through accordingly.

  • Position Level This position shall be considered a Child Advocacy Center Staff Assistant.
