FOR THE LINCOLN COUNTY COALITION AGAINST CHILD ABUSE
AND LINCOLN COUNTY CHILD ADVOCACY CENTER
February 28, 2009 - 3rd Annual "The Price Is Right Game For Fighting Child Abuse" Game Show
"Come on down" to a fun filled night with the family to James W. Warren Citizens Center. Tickets are $10.00 and will be sold at the door or other locations (please see the Price Is Right link for full poster information). Activities include a silent auction, food court, half and half ticket sales, live auction after the show,and many chances for all ages to leave as winners!

APRIL EVENTS FOR CHILD ABUSE AWARENESS MONTH
(Date TBA) - WLON Radio will host CAC Director, Karen Cook and Coalition Director Cathy Davis at 10:00 a.m. as they speak to the community about how to prevent child abuse from happening in our community and what to do if this does happen to you or someone you love.
April 1, 2009 - Pennies From Heaven Jars will be placed in many of our area churches and businesses to collect pennies (and change) for children. All monies collected will be used to support the prevention efforts of the Coalition Against Child Abuse and the intervention efforts of the Child Advocacy Center in Lincoln County.
April 24, 2009 - APRIL IS CHILD ABUSE AWARENESS MONTH - Cookie baskets will be distributed on behalf of the Lincoln County Coalition Against Child Abuse, the Lincoln County Child Advocacy Center, and our Board of Directors as a way to thank many folks for their dedication and committment provided to our children.
April (Day TBA), 2009 - A Candlelight Vigil to honor children affected by child abuse. To honor the children in Lincoln County affected by child abuse and treated at the Lincoln County Child Advocacy Center (CAC), blue ribboned trees will stand on the Lincoln County Court House lawn. Guest speakers, singers and prayers will honor our child victims with song and words around the court house tree. The public is invited to attend.
April 3, 2009 - Child Abuse Awareness Luncheon - A luncheon to honor many for their committment and service to our child abuse prevention and intervention efforts will be held at the James Warren Citizens Center at 12:00. Invitations will go in the mail mid-April.
April 3 - 19, 2009 - LCCACA director, Cathy Davis and Karen Cook, Director from the Child Advocacy Center will be in various churches and organizations speaking about child abuse and the effects it has on our entire community.
April 17, 2009 - Spring Dance for Children A dance for children ages middle school thru 10th grade will be held at the Lincolnton Country Club from 6 pm - 10 pm.

September (Date TBA) Woodmill Winery Grape Stomp: Pepsi Bottling Co. Cherryville has sponsored the CAC with soft drinks for everyone! Come out and enjoy a day in the sunshine stomping grapes, getting your face painted, and enjoying refreshing Pepsi products and the treats of the Woodmill Winery.
September 20, 2009 - Lincoln County Apple Festival: The LCCACA and CAC will host a tent to do arm cast wraps for children.
September 29 - October 1, 2009 15th Annual State Symposium on Child Abuse and Neglect at Lake Junaluska.
